Meet Kinjal

Dr Patel’s work in healthcare has nurtured deep understanding of chronic disease, primary care, and senior tailored care. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT) based in Los Angeles, CA.

She blends depth of Western allopathic medicine with the wisdom of yoga to explore joyful ways to be healthy.

Kinjal received her M.D. from Columbia University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Brown University. She trained in Internal Medicine at Columbia New York Presbyterian, and sub-specialized in Nephrology at Harvard/Mass General Brigham. She’s completed over 700 hours of yoga training, and studied classical hatha, ashtanga influenced vinyasa, and Vedic philosophy.

Kinjal’s initial 200 hours of training was done with her teachers Yogi Charu and Kay Kay Clivio, at Pure Yoga in New York, NY. She then did her 300 hour advanced training with Yogi Charu in Oahu, HI. Yogi Charu is an inducted disciple of the Saraswati lineage, one of the ten classical monk orders established in 8th century CE by Adi Shankaracharya.
